Two projects to implement new design tools into global Civil and Structural communities, to improve data exchange with contractors and to enhance analysis capability

After working with the business lead and procurement lead to complete final vendor selection, two tools have been selected:

  • Tekla Structures from Trimble
  • Civil 3D from Autodesk

The management approval gate was successfully passed for both tools, after which local installs were delivered to allow priority Engineering and Design work to progress.

The technical work to the install and test Tekla on the corporate Citrix platform has been completed with management gate approval to go-live and release to production.

Civil3D is running a month or so later, and is currently undergoing user testing and validation.
